Christian Carr

Founder/President

Christian Carr is the Founder and President of Furniture Solutions Group. He has close to 20 years procuring goods and services for major hotels, senior housing groups, and multi-family housing developments. He is responsible for creating and executing sourcing strategies and solutions that deliver cost savings to our clients while maintaining supply continuity and performance.

Christian combines his experience in construction, finance, global sourcing and procurement to contribute valuable leadership and management skills to each project.

Christian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Baltimore and an MBA from Loyola University in Maryland. When Christian is not at the office he enjoys coaching and playing lacrosse, spending time with family and appreciating the outdoors.

Michelle Mutert

Director of Projects

Michelle Mutert serves as the Director of Projects responsible for overseeing the procurement of all projects, and ensuring the highest level of client service.  She brings over ten years of multi-industry sales and project management experience to FSG. Having served in the U.S. Army for where she began her career in marketing as a Psychological Operations Specialist serving extensive time in Bosnia with various military campaigns.

Following her military duties, Ms. Mutert held project management positions at leading contract furniture and flooring providers where she oversaw unique construction projects including the new Washington Convention Center, several government interiors renovations, and Marriott branded properties in Florida, Colorado and South Carolina.

When she’s not greasing the wheels at FSG, Michelle enjoys challenging herself with Crossfit, and playing golf with friends.

 

Erica Wahlig

Project Manager

Erica brings over 10 years experience in marketing and project management having served as an Assistant Vice President and Marketing Manager for Legg Mason Capital Management where she focused on IT/Marketing projects and oversaw the marketing team. Her industry specific experience includes positions as a Financial Officer and Vendor Manager at Maine Cottage, Owner of Paint My Furniture and Salesperson at Patrick Sutton Home and Restoration Hardware.

At Furniture Solutions Group, Erica is responsible for overseeing the competitive bidding process, vendor selection, aggregating requisition requests, and placing procurement orders.  She is involved with projects from conception to completion and works closely with the designers, architects and suppliers.

Erica holds an MBA in Marketing from Loyola University and a BA in English Literature from the University of Delaware.

She is an active community volunteer and lives with her husband and 2 children in Severna Park MD.

 Tom Sanford

Project Manager

Tom brings over 10 years’ of project management expertise to the firm as a production planner at Volvo Parts/Mack Trucks. He is responsible for handling the FF&E procurement process that includes pricing, preparation and confirmation of purchase orders, and overseeing the delivery and installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment.

Mr. Sanford holds a degree in Computer Information Systems. In his free time, Tom enjoys making people laugh as a stand-up comedian, and exploring the creeks of Annapolis by kayak with his wife.

 

Lindsey White

Project Manager

Lindsey White serves as a Project Manager at FSG. Lindsey is responsible for purchasing, tracking, receiving, and installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment for various clients. She serves as a liaison between designers and clients to help streamline the procurement process.

Lindsey attended Ohio State University, where she played lacrosse. Then completed her studies at The Maryland Institute of College of Art where she earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Environmental Design. Outside of work Lindsey enjoys Mural painting and teaching yoga classes from her paddle board.

 Heather Homick

Project Manager

Heather is a rising star who was hired as an assistant project manager and quickly moved up the ranks at FSG. She is responsible for handling every aspect of the procurement process from order to installation of all FF&E. And has delivered several successful projects to date.

Heather earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Washington College in Chestertown, MD. When she is not knocking down obstacles at FSG, she enjoys distance running and participating in several running events around the country.

 

Christine Ballard

Project Manager

Christine joined FSG as a Project Manager, bringing 13 years of production planning as a software engineer at Lockheed Martin. She is responsible for handling all aspects of the procurement process from ordering to delivery.

Christine earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In her free time, Christine enjoys running, and spending time with her husband and son.
