The Osborn

The Osborn is a not-for-profit Life Plan Community set on 56 landscaped acres in Westchester County, offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation — all on one campus.

A recent highlight of ongoing campus investment is the newly renovated Social Lounge. The project stemmed from residents’ requests for a central gathering area to support a variety of functions, from book club meetings and casual coffee catch-ups to simply relaxing by the fire. The design embraces the timeless aesthetic of the historic campus while infusing a newer classic transitional sensibility, and the layout strikes a balance that makes residents comfortable using the space alone or in groups of any size. The lounge has quickly become a favorite spot, a place to enjoy coffee, read a book, or share a pour of scotch from personal storage lockers.  The renovation was recognized with a 2025 EFA Bronze Award for design excellence.
